About Orivex

Two bases, one supply chain: Somaliland and Canada

Orivex Exports is a new company connecting buyers abroad with the harvesters and graders who produce Somaliland's frankincense and natural gums. The product side runs from Hargeisa; contracts and buyer relationships run from Canada.

Somaliland and the wider Somali region produce more frankincense than anywhere else in the world. Yet many buyers struggle to get consistent grades, reliable volumes and paperwork that shows where the resin came from.

Orivex was set up to close that gap. Our team in Somaliland works on the ground with harvesters and graders, grades to agreed specifications and keeps a lot record for every bag. Our office in Canada gives buyers in North America and Europe a local contact for contracts, payments and follow-up.

We are working towards FairWild registration, the main standard for wild-harvested plants such as frankincense. Orivex Exports holds a Somaliland business licence and an export licence.

What we stand for

Fair to harvesters

Harvesting families own their trees by inheritance. We pay fairly and on time, and buy only from undisputed trees.

Healthy trees

Overtapping kills frankincense trees. We buy from harvesters who follow tapping limits and rest periods.

Paper trail

Written agreements, lot records and payment records, so you can show your own customers where the resin came from.

Straight answers

Clear grades, honest volumes and minimum orders, and a reply from a real person in Hargeisa or Canada.
